Surah Al Haqqah Ayat 44 Tafseer

Para 29 - تَبٰرَكَ الَّذِیْ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

69.44-48

وَ لَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَیْنَا بَعْضَ الْاَقَاوِیْلِۙ (44) لَاَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِالْیَمِیْنِۙ (45) ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ الْوَتِیْنَ٘ ۖ (46) فَمَا مِنْكُمْ مِّنْ اَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حٰجِزِیْنَ(47) وَ اِنَّهٗ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِّلْمُتَّقِیْنَ(48)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

And had he ascribed a (fabricated) statement to Us, We would have certainly taken severe retribution against him. Then We would have severed the artery of his heart. So none among you could prevent it from him.[1] Certainly, it is counsel for the pious.

Commentary

In summary, these verses address the disbelievers to inform them that the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم cannot attribute a false statement to Allah Almighty because of them. This is because he knows that whoever does so will be punished by Allah Almighty, and nobody can repel His punishment. This verse is evidence of the Prophet’s utmost truthfulness and how greatly trusted he is in the court of Allah Almighty.
